John S. Burdsall of Montclair, a market researcher and choir enthusiast, died Aug. 21 [1990] at Cape Cod Hospital, Hyannis, Mass., after a brief illness. He was 45.
Mr. Burdsall was born in New York City and raised in Westchester County. As a boy, he spent summers in Craigville, on Cape Cod. He continued to vacation at his family's home there as an adult.
A graduate of Mt. Herman Preparatory School in Northfield, Mass, he received his bachelor's degree in music from Colorado College, and a master's degree in library science from the University 'of Iowa. He also attended Columbia University. He worked as a market researcher for Market Facts, New York. He was active in Grace Presbyterian Church, Montclair, and the New Jersey Tres Dias, a national ecumenical organization. He also sang with the University Glee Club and Dessoff choirs of Manhattan.
Surviving are his wife, Susan R. of Montclair, and a brother, David K. of New York.
